Thank you for your votes!
Apparently there is a problem with the pole gadget so I guess, I have to write the results here:
M. Poppins: 2 votes
Annie: 18
Next week we will start preparing the basics by choosing people to join different groups of responsibilities for the show; as I already told you before, we don't have the luxury to be only actors! We need to work hard and "behind the scene" in order to perform a super fantastic show that everybody will remember in the years to come.
The groups will be:
Props group: If you join in, you need to know what props are needed in every scene, where to put them, how to take them away and of course to be very creative and do research to find them at the first place.
For example: Scene one is at the orphanage. As you already know, we need a lot of old beds, old and dirty sheets and pillows. You have to find them: ask neighbours and friends, ask your families, write emails to the teachers letting them know that we may need to use for some time this kind of beds, so if they have anything in mind they can help too etc.
Costume group: This team has to design costumes for all the characters and collect material to make them. You need to find people that can lent or donate to us material or actual clothes - keep in mind that you have to go scene by scene searching for the right staff!
Light/Projection group: I f you join that group there is a lot of work waiting for you. You need to attend ALL or most of the rehearsals in order to be constantly in touch with the director; when you have taken your final decisions you need to start on the light programming and of course to create background projections. Skill required: Good at drawing, creative and...patient!
Choreography training team: When the basic choreography is ready, you need to talk with the choreographer and help everybody to learn their step and position on stage. You can even add your own ideas. Skills required: Good at dancing, patient on training others!
Music/Recording team: In this show we will pre-record all the songs. We need a team to help everybody learn properly their songs and be ready before the recordings start. When we start with the recordings we need you to organize the schedule and know exactly when we record who and what song. That means, the members of this team have to be good at singing and of course, good at organizing schedules.
Please let me know if there is any group you would like to add.
Until next Monday!
Ms. Faye
