Welcome back everybody!
It's time that we start working on the seven Tony awarded Broadway's musical, Annie and, of course it is time to get prepared for the auditions and the call backs.
In many ways, “ANNIE” is a modern – day Cinderella story: Cast aside by society, Annie remains ever positive, ever confident that she will find the home of her dreams.

In many ways, “ANNIE” is a modern – day Cinderella story: Cast aside by society, Annie remains ever positive, ever confident that she will find the home of her dreams.
Annie has become an icon that transcends generations – the very same dream everyone shares of a brighter future ahead.
With its hopeful message and unwavering belief in a better tomorrow, Annie became one of the biggest Broadway musical hits of the 1970s, running for almost six years and playing 2,377 performances.
The musical won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Book (Thomas Meehan) and Best Score (Charles Strouse, Martin Charnin).
All the girl members of the Drama Club at the age of 10 (born 2001) will have the chance to be Annie through a private auditions and a public call-back.
General auditions will be held, where every member of the Drama Club will sing a song ( can be anything , not from Annie only) and act a monologue.
During this audition, the most talented kids will be notified for a call back, where they have to sing a certainr repertoire from Annie and do more specific acting.
The dates for the audition and the call back will be posted on the information bulletin boards all around school and, of course theough out Drama Club blog.
Every member of the Drama Club will perform main or 2nd main role and will also be responsible for off-stage duties, such as music, costumes, lights, sound effects, director’s assistants, make up etc.
The rehearsals will take place twice a week (Monday and Friday) 15:15 – 16:15 and will be extended for one more hour after Christmas.
