My dear members of the DC,
As you already know, we have started reading the script - a procedure quite important before the next step.
You may think, "why do we need to read it altogether when we can read it by ourselves at home"?
The answer is very simple.
First of all, in order of you to be fully aware of what's going on you need to read all the details about the lights, costumes etc and to listen to the music as you'd if you were part of the audience.
A script has a lot of times mistakes in grammar, typos, or contains some lines that we might want to change them on the spot.
It would be impossible for us to agree in certain parts if we weren't reading it at the same time.
The next step is for us to sit comfortably at the wooden floor of the dancing room and "voice" act it.
This means that we will re-read the script, scene by scene but this time instead of the director reading it, the actors will try to perform it with their voice only.
Ms. Crous will be there for our accent and pronunciation and I will give you the first simple directions for your voice.
The "Matilda" show preparation has begun!
