Letter to the Drama Club parents - invitation to our Matilda meeting

Dear Drama parents,

The rehearsals and preparations for Matilda are progressing very well!
This is the period of time where we need to find all of our props, make or buy costumes, work on the choreographies, record all songs and dedicate most of the time to rehearse and learn lines.

In order to have a successful show, we will need your help and support.
Teachers are busy making props, but there are several items that we still need to borrow or have donated. Some costumes may be brought from home, whereas others have to be made or purchased. And most importantly, the students must learn their lines and attend all of the rehearsals.
Matilda is a major production and any help would be much appreciated.

I feel it is best at this time to have a meeting where we can present briefly the needs for props and costumes, the future timetable of the rehearsals and recordings, and to answer any questions you may have about the progress or procedure of our upcoming musical.

We will also offer you tips on how to help your child deal with the responsibilities of their role, ways to help memorize their lines and advice on how you can support them leading up to the final performance.

The cast, crew, and you, our drama parents are now the major factors for a show that everyone will talk about for a very long time!

Since most of you are coming to pick up your little ones, we believe that is most convenient to set our Matilda meeting for next Friday, January 25th, 17:10  (after the rehearsal) in the Music classroom.

Our Drama Club members are also very welcome to attend the meeting to help translate if necessary.

Please let us know if you are attending by signing the back of the letter and return it to me.

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Sincerely,

Ms. Faye.
